Allen Osgood receives Stamps Leadership Scholarship from Washington University in St. Louis

Allen Osgood of Loveland, Ohio (45140), has been named a Penelope W. and E. Roe Stamps IV Leadership Scholar at Washington University in St. Louis. Osgood is a freshman this fall semester at Washington University. Osgood is a 2013 graduate of Loveland High School.

The Stamps Leadership Scholars program rewards exceptional incoming students who exemplify leadership, perseverance, scholarship, service and innovation. Through a generous commitment from the Stamps Family Charitable Foundation and additional support matched by Washington University, the scholarship awards the full cost of undergraduate attendance for four years. Tuition for the 2013-2014 academic year is $44,100.

This unique program also includes an enrichment fund of $10,000 per student to be used over four years to pay for outside-of-the-classroom educational experiences such as study abroad, research or unpaid internships.

In addition to the program at Washington University, the Stamps have established similar programs at three dozen leading universities including their alma maters a?" the University of Michigan (Penny's alma mater) and Georgia Institute of Technology (Roe's alma mater). This year, the Stamps Family Charitable Foundation is providing scholarships for more than 400 students across the country. The 170 Stamps Leadership Scholars who joined the program in 2013 were selected from more than 543,000 applicants, making this one of the nation's most selective and prestigious awards.
